Tricia Romano, the Fly Life writer for the Village Voice is hanging up her hat on her job as staff writer for NYC nightlife. She has some interesting things to say about the DnB scene. She like me, grew up in the DNB scene, saw its brief rise, and then its collapse. I will always still love the music.
If you grew up with DnB or have read Fly Life check this out.
Apparently the cops in SF are going after bicyclists for running red lights but not cars. I have no problem with the police enforcing the laws, but do it equally.
Google Maps - Street View
Google Maps just launched a cool ass feature today called “Street View” what it does is lets you literally drive down streets in NYC just like a car would. It looks like they did this by taking a picture with a fish eye camera every 100 feet and used GPS to track the location of those images.
Its really cool and allows you to see the actual destination without having to be there. Check out this image of my office
DTL Single Release Party
I am going to be out of town this weekend. So I am going to be missing the awesomeness of this event but that shouldn’t stop you from coming out and dancing your ass off at Savalas.

Trouble and Bass 9
Trouble and Bass this month was in a new venue. A place called Don Pedro. As you can see by the link. Its a classy place.
Regardless I got some good video of the night and used my less than skilled iMovie skills to put this video together. Check it out.
*Warning* Large file, let it preload by pushing play, then pause, waiting a few seconds and pushing play again.

I recently came across a film called “Notes on Breakcore.” I was curious what the Europeans had to say about this unique genre. If your interested in it as a genre, check out the directors website: http://breakcore.net/
More interestingly however was seeing my friend Luca aka Drop the Lime aka Curses! the man behind the amazing Trouble and Bass parties being on this European documentary.
Check out the video below to see what he has to say about breakcore and the internet. Quite funny..
*Warning* This is a 30mb file, so I recommend pushing play, then pause.. waiting a few moments and push play again so it doesn’t get all skippy like.
Modular Party next week

Lets totally hit this up. Modular parties are always a good time.

4th of July 2004
Continuing with the video posting craze today, peep this video from a rooftop party I had in 2004. Its a pretty large file, and my webserver has been wicked slow lately so its best if you push the play button, then pause it, and let it load for a few before trying it again.
