Mass transit is good enough for the animals [Good Advertising]
Two really great Belgian ads using really slick animation to talk about the benefits of mass transit. A really awesome way of broaching the subject.

Scion has really been getting this whole marketing to youth culture thing right. In the above commercial shot by Imaginary Forces, you can really see Scion grab hold of the hyper individualized mashup culture we live into and reconstitute in a meaningful way it to sell a car.
Seriously between sponsoring DJ’s like Rusko and Diplo and producing commercials like this I can’t help but like what Scion is offering me.
Repost from Discobelle:
Great find from the folks over at Discobelle. Nothing makes me want to get on my bike and ride to the nearest party and dance more than this video!

The current reigning king of dubstep Rusko just finished up a new mix for the awesome DJ Magazine. It’s filled with the typical big hits, Eastern Jam, Pro Nails, Raise the Temperature, etc… Fantastically mixed despite the fairly overplayed tracks.
Tracklist below the fold

Drop the Lime is on tour for a month. Which means I can’t see him mix live but its ok because his West Coast mixes are making it up to the interwebs.

Yeah, it’s the Mecca of Donk; the heard of Donk. Literally there’s a load of Donk that goes on.
VBS.TV just re-discovered high BPM house music now called Donk and exploits it by calling it some new sound. If your interested in check out the full 5 part series on the “Donk Phenomenon” head over to VBS to be mildly bored by a rehashing of a genre as old as electronic music.

I woke up to this track this morning. On the radio alarm of all places. Now I start checking my RSS Feeds and it shows up on FOOL’S GOLD. This track is following me around. I first heard it maybe month ago and really liked it despite is more downtempo feel. (Compared to what I normally listen to anyway.)
Pretty awesome video and don’t forget to pick up the single on iTunes.

High Rankin is a dubstep DJ/Producer that seems to have come from Jungle/DNB roots. Like Me! and now has a style that transcends those genre’s into a style that is all his.
If the early 2000’s was all about micro genre’s the late 2000’s are are about convergence. A great thing.
